Hey now, hey now! My name is Stephan H Pope. I was born in Dallas, TX 3-29-65. I moved to FL in 86 and then Atlanta, GA in 89. In Aug. 95 I went to Germany for over eight months, that was a great experience. Meeting different people and seeing the different cultures. I really love the Grateful Dead. I saw my first show in Austin TX 7-31-82. That's how I got into selling my handmade wares on the road. It was great to see the guys every spring in Atlanta. I Did as many tours and shows as possible. I miss the scene a lot!
"once in a while you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right." Scarlet Begonias Robert Hunter & Jerry Garcia.
I love
to draw and work with my hands. I have sold my tie dyes and jewelry all
over the USA and overseas. An American Indian taught me the "Peyote stitch"
and many other jewelry tips. Otherwise I am self taught. I have not had
any art schooling as of yet. I love music of all kinds. I play guitar and
hand drums. I also enjoy camping, mountain biking, and most outdoor activities
but most of all "blowing glass!!!" I also have several reptiles and
have even tried to breed some. I have been successful at breeding Giant
Day Geckos. I also have two Leopard geckos. They are high yellow's. I have
had Veiled Chameleons, one male and two females. Male and female gold dust
day geckos, and one baby Albino California King snake. Oh yes how could
I forget my cats Harley and Cassidy and a few fish. On 1-20-99 I moved
to
Springfield,
OR. It is right next to Eugene. I really love it here.
I do
the Saturday Market here in
Eugene & in Portland and if you are ever here please come by and see
me. They are both all handcrafted locally made crafts and the one in
Eugene has been going since 1969. It is the oldest outdoor crafts market
in the US. There is a lot of great stuff and the scene is filled with magic.
I also have dyed stuff for a local softball team
and
for a contestant for the Eugene slug
queen competition.
